X-Ray

X-Ray

X-ray scanning is limited in the level of detail that is revealed when compared to other imaging methods (e.g., CT scans), however it can be used to reveal complications such as bowel obstruction or perforation. Similarly, chest x-rays may be used to look for tuberculosis, which may be exacerbated by some IBD treatments (e.g., infliximab).
